Importance of Education

A great man of India once remarked: " there is nothing so costly as ignorance, nothing so cheap as knowledge'. The remark has a deep meaning. Illiteracy is actually a curse. It is a social curse. It is the root of ignorance and backwordness. It stops the people from marching ahead to stops the people fro marching ahead to set up an ideal social fabric. Since an educated community is essential for the success of an industrious society based on the application of science and technology, all concerned must put their heads together for speedy eradication of illiteracy. Our adult population is the back-bone of any economic life. So their education may best be arranged in the period when they have not to work. Adult education will accelerated mass education. Only educated parents can help the education of their children. None should forget that the foundation of every state is the education of its youth.
